Clinical Guidelines
Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Management of Hyperglycemia in Pregnancy (HIP): An Expert Consensus Statement from the Libyan Diabetes Association (LDA):
The National Guideline for Diabetes in Pregnancy 2025 is a comprehensive document issued by the Libyan Diabetes Association. It provides clinical recommendations for the diagnosis, management, and prevention of diabetes during pregnancy, aiming to unify medical practices across Libya. The guideline addresses both pre-existing diabetes and gestational diabetes (GDM), highlighting their significant impact on maternal and neonatal health. It emphasizes the risks of complications such as preeclampsia, stillbirth, and hypertension, as well as long-term health risks for both mother and child.
Overall, the guideline aims to improve pregnancy outcomes, promote standardized clinical practices, and enhance the quality of maternal healthcare services in Libya.
